Baby Love....

Grandpa and Clare taking an afternoon nap together.

One of the things about being a grandparent is that you really can take the time to enjoy each stage your grandchildren go through. It seems like when our kids were young, we were so busy that they grew up before we knew it! We couldn't wait until the kids took naps so that we could get something done ourselves. How times have changed....
Stan just loves holding Clare. When Reese was this age, he was busy working, as he had not
yet retired. With Ryan and Grace, when they were this age (6 months), he was busy working for the Indians, playing softball himself, plus we were in the midst of moving from one house to another.
Now, life is a little slower...it's mid-winter and not much to do outside. It's a great time to
hold Baby Clare and fall asleep! I happened to catch them napping...I didn't want to get too close as I didn't want to wake up either of my "babies"!

AWWWWWWW...how precious is that?!?!

That is special that Grandpa Stan still loves cuddling with the little ones. It seems Clare really likes it, too. :)

I know...today he said she slept about an hour and 20 minutes like that. Ummm...I wonder if Keith and Kelly would like him to come over about 2 am!

What a sweet picture! Dad is so good with all of the grandkids, but I love how he loves holding Clare! What a good grandpa he is. And yes, I would love it if he would come over around 2 a.m.!

SO precious! I am glad you are both able to enjoy all of the time with the grandkids. It seems most working parents say it goes quickly because they are working...so when you are g-parents you shouldn't HAVE to work, so it goes slowly! (Really I just want to be retired right now).

How sweet is that? What an adorable picture. I like how Stan sacrificed and took a nap so that Clare would go to sleep. Being a grandparent is definitely the best thing in the world!

By the way, let me know if you can do lunch Thursday or Friday.
