Grace, last year, cheering for our Colts! What a sweetie!Reese and Ryan cheer the Colts to a Super Bowl win last year!
As the old poem about Casey at the bat says: "for there's no joy in Mudville, for mighty Casey has struck-out." Well, that is the way our family feels tonight as our Colts lost in their play-off game against San Diego today. Stan and Kelly were at the game, Keith was on Reserve Training, but the rest of us gathered at our house to watch the nail-biter of a game. Guess it just wasn't in the cards this year. Since our team is out, we will have to resort to other activities on Sunday afternoons, like taking a nice nap. That sounds good to me! For my husband, I am sure he will begin counting the weeks until spring training starts. Go Cards!

I've always heard about "Casey at the Bat," but I've never read it. Guess there's no excuse now that I could just Google it!
I'm pretty bummed about the Colts not advancing. It was just always a great thing to look forward to on Sundays--besides, church, of course.
Sometimes the afternoons just go so slowly--esp. when you have to be at home b/c your kids are napping.
At least we still have our Hoosiers for another month or two...
Hmmm...I had never read this poem, either. Because I'm a wikipedia addict, this is a good "CliffsNotes" version:

It is so sad to see the season end. Although, I will say I am very pleased to see one Manning still in the playoffs. As long as the HATEtriots don't win it all!
That is good we have the Hoosiers....and only two and a half months until spring training!
What a bummer of a game! But those cute kids made it easier to come home. Thanks, everyone, for watching the girls. Sorry I couldn't help the Colts win! Now we will have to root against the Gaytriots. And like mom said, spring training is right around the corner!
